West End

This “Green House” was recently awarded a Queensland State commendation, as well as a local Brisbane commendation, at the 2009 Queensland Architecture Awards.  An excellent example of the Queensland cottage for which West End is famous. Small blocks are also common in this suburb, however limited space hasn’t restricted the vision. As timber and glass bi-fold doors peel away, the backyard sanctuary, with its plunge pool and exterior fireplace, becomes part of the home. Designed and built by Aardvarc
