This extension to a solid hardwood post war home has to appease the GREEN clients all the way from outlook to cladding. The steep and heavilly treed site with city views is the canvas for changes to the dining, lounge, kitchen, creating a master bedroom with robe and ensuite. “I want to feel like i am sleeping and waking in the native forest”. Clad with recycled hardwood and bamboo cuts, the end result will be a private but light and open space in the forest of natives with pasive heating and cooling. The home will change with the via light penetrating the tapered bamboo cuts and change in colour and shape as they weather.
